Led by producer Joel Shapiro, Bluegrass Pictures is dedicated to producing high quality commercial films for a global audience.  

Joel Shapiro is an established film producer, multi decade financier and serial entrepreneur. He is the founder of Bluegrass Pictures, and has served as the Chief Executive Officer, founder and consultant to a number of technology, infrastructure, entertainment, apparel and commercial product companies.  He has financed and produced talent driven films with a variety of exceptional film makers and international stars including but not limited to Michael Caine, Liam Hemsworth, Luke Hemsworth, Katie Holmes, Bruce Willis, Alexandra Daddario, Jason Biggs, Andie MacDowell, Seth Green, Olga Kurylenko, John Cusack and Daniel Radcliffe.  He began his finance career at the investment-banking firm of M.H. Meyerson & Company, where he executed institutional orders on behalf of Wall Streets biggest firms. He served as Principal and Vice President, servicing clients such as Goldman Sachs, Lehman Brothers, and Deutsche Bank. Mr. Shapiro received his Bachelors of Science degree from Rutgers University and his Masters Degree in Business Administration from Rutgers University Graduate School of Business.
